The ship
More than a centuryon the Amsterdam canals.
Where the Pipka stands for space and company, the Dauphine brings something else on board: history. Built in 1910, this classic little saloon boat has lived through more than a century of Amsterdam canals, and you can still see and feel it the moment you step aboard.
The interior is finished in classic saloon style: a teak deck, warmly varnished woodwork and navy blue cushions that combine the atmosphere of a bygone era with contemporary comfort. There is a toilet on board. With room for up to 12 guests, the Dauphine is ideally suited to exclusive, atmospheric cruises: a stylish dinner on the water, a private drinks reception with a select group, or a romantic trip for a small party wishing to experience the allure of a historic ship.
The Dauphine sails 100% electrically, stylish and silent, entirely in keeping with the sustainable character of Amsterdam. The route leads through the city's UNESCO World Heritage canals, so the historic character of the ship meets the historic surroundings it moves through.
The Dauphine can be booked at Club Amstel as an exclusive addition to our fleet, for those who prefer the authenticity and history of a classic vessel. The ship suits both business gatherings and exclusive private occasions, and the cruise can be tailored entirely: from route and boarding point to styling and programme, everything is arranged around your wishes.
For an extra attentive experience, a hostess or host can be added. They welcome your guests, accompany the cruise and take care of the service and the drinks on board.
Outside the sailing season, the Dauphine remains a surprisingly good choice. The saloon is heated, which makes a cruise in the winter months just as comfortable as on a warm summer evening. And should the weather disappoint, the covered, heated saloon offers ample shelter for the cruise to go ahead as planned.
